Milos is a volcanic island that erupts with beauty and adventure. The word “milo” translates to apple in Greek, as the round shape of the island resembles the fruit. Milos features countless unusual beaches and dazzling turquoise water that will glimmer in your memory for years to come. Below is a list of just a few of the amazing beaches this special island has to offer.
Sarakiniko Beach

Kleftiko
Kleftiko, which means stolen in Greek, is a famous cove which was once a hideout for pirates. Many boat operators offer day trips sailing around and within this stunning area.

Papafragas Cave
To access the small and unique Papafragas beach, you must walk around the perimeter of the clifftop prior to climbing down and into the cave. To see the beach from above is a surreal experience.

Below are images of your view from above and surrounding Papafragas beach.

Tsigrado Beach
Tsigrado is a famously fun beach if you have an adventurous spirit. Accessing this beach requires a climb down the cliffside using ladders and rope. The beach itself is swimmable and lovely.

Alogomandra Beach
This beach is filled with colorful stones and shade. My husband and I enjoyed swimming here, because the water was warm and calm. It is a nice stop to include on a beach hopping day!

Conclusion
The true essence of Milos is indescribable through words or pictures. I find the island to be youthful and vibrant with a zestful energy that I encourage you to experience yourself!
